The artist is James Martin, born and raised in Argyll, Scotland by the shores of Loch Fyne where he and his family still live.

James has been painting for over 25 years and has sold paintings to many satisfied customers across the globe, although James now prefers to focus his talent to portraits, and in particular to paintings from photographs, he is equally at home painting beautiful landscapes, townscapes and seascapes.

James now concentrates solely on his digital paintings rather than on the traditional and has become very proficient in that media. With over 20 years of experience in digital media and the leaps forward taken in software and hardwares in the last 5, James produces his finest work yet.

Often is the case where digital artists like James are mistaken for artists who use the likes of photoshop softwares etc, this art should not be mistaken for that but instead each stroke of the digital brush on his digital pressure sensitive canvas's caresses the canvas as sensitively and precisely as a traditional brush does, and using not only his digital skills but also James's years of experience as a watercolourist and acrylic artist to create these wonderful masterpieces for your enjoyment
